FULTON COUNTY – In the Early Morning of July 28th, A Pursuit started in Kosciusko County, where the Mentone Town Marshal chased a Silver Vehicle Southbound on State Road 25. The Pursuit later crossed into Fulton County. The Pursuit ended with the silver sedan rolling over near State Road 110, approximately 5 miles from the pursuit’s origin.
It is suspected that the vehicle passed the intersection of State Road 110, and took the turn at too high of a speed, resulting in the vehicle losing control. It is likely the driver over-corrected in the turn and rolled the vehicle on the opposite side of the road.
At 12:56 am, the Parkview Samaritan Medevac was dispatched to the scene to transport one of the juveniles to a medical facility for urgent care. The Samaritan returned to the scene approximately 1 hour later, but was waved off.

A preliminary investigation by Master Trooper Trottier revealed that yesterday morning, just after 12:00 a.m., the Mentone Town Marshal was patrolling State Road 25 near Princeton Street in Mentone, IN. The marshal attempted to stop a 2010 Chevrolet Impala for speeding; however, the Impala failed to stop and fled southbound on State Road 25.
The pursuit continued southbound on State Road 25 from Kosciusko County into Fulton County. Shortly after crossing State Road 110, the Impala veered off the east side of the road for an unknown reason and struck a tree.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the vehicle’s driver, identified as Adam C. McDaniels, 17, Rochester, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash by emergency medical personnel. Notification to McDaniels’ family has been made.
The juvenile passenger was transported to an area hospital via a medical helicopter for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
