CASS COUNTY – A two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon resulted in the temporary closure of US 24.

At approximately 3:06 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, Cass County EMS was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on US 24 at County Road 600 East.

Responding units discovered that a white GMC SUV traveling southbound on CR 600 E and a blue Ford Escape traveling westbound on US 24 had collided. It was reported that the driver of the GMC SUV was entrapped and found to be pulseless upon arrival. EMS personnel successfully resuscitated and stabilized the driver. Due to the severity of the injuries, a medical helicopter was requested to the scene.
